Product Description
Lucide TEXAS-IR is an outdoor bollard with a slender upright support and a projecting rectangular light head. Its downward light suits the edge of a path or the area immediately beside the bollard. The anthracite aluminium body with a matt powder-coated finish creates a restrained accent beside modern facades, terraces and garden planting.
The single integrated LED source is rated at 7 W and a source luminous flux of 400 lm. Its 3000 K warm-white light suits a calm outdoor setting. CRI 80 describes colour rendering, which matters when recognising planting and facade colours after dark, while the 120° beam angle indicates the spread of the light.
A PIR motion sensor combined with a day/night sensor switches the light on when movement is detected at the selected ambient-light level. The manufacturer specifies a detection distance of 1–9 m and an angle of 120°. These describe the sensor coverage and are separate from the LED beam angle. Position the fitting so that the sensor faces the area where people approach and remains unobstructed.
The daylight threshold is adjustable; the manual shows a control range from below 10 lx to 2000 lx. The on-time can be set between 5–480 s, equivalent to a maximum of 8 min. A higher light threshold allows sensor operation in brighter conditions. The manufacturer states that sensor operation can be deactivated; wiring for that mode must follow the diagram for the exact fixture. Brightness and light colour are not adjustable.
The bollard has a fixed height of 60 cm. The drawing shows an overall reach of 17 cm, while the aluminium light head itself measures 6 × 15 × 4 cm. The black square aluminium base measures 9.6 × 9.6 × 0.5 cm; these dimensions help allow space for both the fixing area and the projecting head. Net weight is 1.2 kg.
The base screws to a firm surface, with the supply connection housed in the lower section. The bollard is not telescopic and its light head does not swivel. When arranging several lights along a path, face their heads towards the area to be lit while leaving adequate clearance for people to pass.
The light is designed for fixed connection to a 230 V mains supply; the manual specifies an operating range of 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Electrical Class I requires a protective-earth connection to the metal housing. No power cable with plug is fitted, so suitable outdoor wiring and a protected connection must be provided at the installation point.
The IP54 rating provides protection against harmful dust ingress and splashing water. The light can therefore be used outdoors with its seals correctly secured and its electrical connection protected. Position the installation so that its connections cannot sit in standing water.
The manufacturer specifies an expected LED life of 15 000 h. The light source has energy efficiency class G. Expected life is a technical service-life rating; the luminaire carries a 3-year warranty. The LED source, installation materials and LED driver are included. No separate bulb is required.
